Turn on the
oven putting 4/5 pieces of thin wooden logs on the hearth with paper underneath. When it has lit well, add two larger pieces of wooden logs. While waiting for a few minutes for the embers to form, start cutting the chestnuts.Start by checking that the chestnuts are intact (no holes or marks). With a sharp and serrated knife, make a long cut of about 3/4 cm reaching the meat.
Once the embers have formed, spread them over the hob. Place the chestnuts on the perforated pan and put it directly on the embers in the
wood-fired oven by Alfa Pizza.Cook the chestnuts on the embers for about 30 minutes. Depending on the chestnut size and the amount of the embers inside the wood-fired oven, cooking time can vary from 20 to 30 minutes. In case more embers are needed, you can leave two small logs lit at the side of the oven.
